fishfry5KApril 11, 2014 – In what turned out to be a surprising fun race, the Friday night Fish Fry 5K, held out at Stinson Park and an out and back course on the Keystone Trail.  Not much to it from a running perspective, the race was held on a very nice April evening and I got to enjoy a night out with old and new friends.  After the race, they served fish and chips and enough beer to make it interesting.  Music was provided by a small band.  Just under $30 for early registration, this one is worth coming back to again!

Any time I can come in with a single digit place in my age group, it’s worth posting!  6th out of 16 works for me.  I’d like to get that pace down to under 8, but that is a work in progress.  John Ogren, another manager with me at Gallup, came in 4th.  I started with him but couldn’t keep his pace.
